چکیده

Surface modification of some metal coatings is usually used to improve the blood compatibility biomaterials; however, aspects bological properties cannot be adjusted via content each component. In this work, Cu/Ti with various amounts copper were prepared by physical vapor deposition (PVD) method, and influence bias was further investigated. Phase structure, element composition surface morphology investigated X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) scanning electron microscopy, respectively. The hemolysis ratio, platelet adhesion protein adsorption applied evaluate compatibility. results show that a coating uniform quality can obtained; dispersion regulated number sheets, but does not obviously affect coating. rate less than 0.4%, degree significantly reduced on compared control samples, contact angle all greater pure titanium. largest capacity BSA found voltage −40 V. flakes increased, FIB reduced. Therefore, method have potential for applications regulate performance.

Investigation of corrosion protection properties of TiO2-CdO nanocomposite coating prepared by sol-gel method on copper

the Sol–gel nanocomposite coatings have been investigated for copper metal as a potential replacement for the hazardous and banned hexavalent chromate conversion coatings. TiO2–CdO nanocomposite thin films were deposited on copper using the sol–gel method. The sol-gel coatings were prepared using a sol obtained by the hydrolysis and condensation of tetra-o-butyl titanate. They were doped with c...

an investigation into iranian teachers consistency and bias in evaluation of students writings

while performance-based language assessment has led to an increased authenticity and content validity in the practice of writing assessment, the reliability of ratings has become a major issue. research findings have shown different reactions by native english speaker (nes) and non-native english speaker (nns) teachers to students’ writings. the focus of this study is on investigating whether i...

Nano-structure TiO2 film coating on 316L stainless steel via sol-gel technique for blood compatibility improvement

Objective(s):  Titanium oxides are known to be appropriate hemocompatible materials which are suggested as coatings for blood-contacting devices. Little is known about the influence of nanometric crystal structure, layer thickness, and semiconducting characteristics of TiO2 on blood hemostasis.   Materials and Methods: Having used sol-gel dip coating method in this study, TiO2 thin films were d...

Blood Compatibility of Titanium-Based Coatings Prepared by Metal Plasma Immersion Ion Implantation and Deposition

In this work the suitability of some Tibased coatings as coating for blood-contacting implants is analyzed. Layers of pure Ti, Ti nitride, Ti oxynitrides (TiN1-xOx with x = 0.25, 0.50, and 0.75) and Ti oxides were deposited from a plasma produced by cathodic arc evaporation under addition of N2 and/or O2. The oxynitrides are crystalline with the fcc structure of TiN up to x = 0.25. For x = 0.5 ...

Improved ex vivo blood compatibility of central venous catheter with noble metal alloy coating

Central line associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs) are a serious cause of morbidity and mortality induced by the use of central venous catheters (CVCs). Nobel metal alloy (NMA) coating is an advanced surface modification that prevents microbial adhesion and growth on catheters and thereby reduces the risk of infection. In vitro microbiological analyses have shown up to 90% reduction in mi...
